As we welcome spring and prepare for the season’s newsletter, it feels fitting to share a glimpse of seeds being planted—both in our garden and community. I have already ordered mine, and they have already arrived. Yes, I am looking forward to planting, weeding (not so much), watering, and then harvesting. It’s much like the word at Options for Women – River Falls, we are cultivating a seedbed of love and hope within our clients and our communities. We are planting growth with the intention of a positive outcome for the women, men, and families as they look to the future. We water and fertilize, providing continued support to strengthen and secure the growth that is coming. And, finally, the harvesting, seeing the fruits of our labor in the women, men, and families’ growth and future. Unlike the harvest of my home garden, which comes just after a few short months, the seeds planted at Options for Women – River Falls continue to grow and bear fruit for years to come.
So what seeds are we planting this season?
Youth Outreach
We will be expanding the fertile soil of youth groups by financially supporting their ministries as they come alongside us at parades and community events to benefit their youth group activities and their knowledge of what and why we do what we do.
Youth Clinic Tours
Conduct tours of our clinic for youth, providing education and information, along with a demonstration of the ultrasound with live models.
UWRF
We are growing our presence on campus through our partnership with Students for Life. This includes participating in the tailgating events whenever possible, attending the Involvement Fair on campus in the fall to connect students and share our mission.
Client Education & Support
Converting the conference room into a classroom/lounge setting to conduct classes by our nurses on topics like: Breastfeeding, Moms’ Bible Study, Parenting/Life Skills classes.
This spring, we are grateful for the opportunity to plant, nurture, and trust God with the growth. Thank you for being part of the season of hope with us.
